Bio

As a bit of an ADD child, I would keep myself busy and out of trouble by drawing in class. By highschool I sought out techniques in rudimentary flash animation and started looking into moving on when college came around. After a few simple stick figure shorts, I headed on the path towards transferring from junior college into the art college of my choice. I immediately gravitated towards Cogswell because it was not a gigantic school, and I knew I could get more of a one on one experience with the people teaching me all I wanted to know. This was preferable to me at the time to certain other schools where it was apparent that the art coming out of them was the result of not so much time between teachers and students.

Once at Cogswell, I started my learning from the ground up, starting in anatomy, figure drawing, drawing for animation, then 2D animation, and finally on to 3D animation. As I was learning I heard of some project in the works that was going to be big. Something high-profile that could help put this school on the map. About 2 months into my first 3D animation class with Mike Huber, he asked me if I'd like to "get on the fast track to success," referring to taking part in Project X animation, haha. I said sure, and on my first day the entire crew was brought together to hear the "This is crunch-time, I want everyone working extra hours" speech. After a "Welcome to Project X!" I got thrown on my first shots, and the rest is history...
